As a writer and health care practitioner for more than two decades, Cara Everett is passionate about empowering people with reliable information to make the best decisions for their health. Along with serving as a dietitian in clinical practice, Everett has written and edited content for publications that include HelpGuide, National Council on Aging, and Verywell on topics such as hearing aids, hearing health, health care equality, and nutrition.
Additionally, Everett has spent countless hours (over 1,200 at last count) researching and testing hearing aids to find the latest technology, best sound quality, and top customer service among prescription and over-the-counter brands.
She holds a master of science degree from Texas A&M University and completed her dietetic internship at University of Kentucky Hospital. Additional certifications include: A Public Health Approach to Hearing Loss and Aging from Johns Hopkins University and Supporting Family Caregivers of Older Adults from the University of Rochester Medical Center. She lives with her family on a farm in southern Ohio.
