Dakari Quimby, PhD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a PhD in clinical psychology from Loyola University in Chicago. In his private practice, he provides both individual therapy and consults with corporations to support workplace wellness. Dr. Quimby's areas of expertise include the impact of past childhood/family stress, relationship conflict, career stress, racial identity, life transitions, family conflict, and work/life unfulfillment. His research focuses on examining trauma, social equity, and ways to promote resilience amidst communities of color. Dr. Quimby also serves on the editorial board of both the Journal of Social Issues and Psychology of Violence.
